Discover a Book! April

Some time ago I read a great post on BookRiot about the Best Use of QR codes EVER‘ and I knew I wanted to do something with it.  So here is my idea… On the 15th of each month you can discover an e-book behind one of these codes that I will post on my blog.  I’ll give you a couple of hints too.  Most of the time it will be a classic, but perhaps now and then there will be a newer book to read.

I hope you all enjoy this random tour of books and  would like to thank BookRiot for this idea.

Here is the “Book of the Month”.  Can you guess which book is hidden behind this month’s QR-code?

  • On Wikipedia the author is described as: ‘an English novelist whose works of romantic fiction, set among the landed gentry, earned her a place as one of the most widely read writers in English literature. Her realism and biting social commentary has gained her historical importance among scholars and critics’.
  • About the main character after whom the book is named, the author wrote: ‘I am going to take a heroine whom no one but myself will much like.’

  1. Hmm, my phone is charging, so I can’t check right now. I’m thinking pink-haired lady but she wrote so many books, I don’t think I’m expected to know a specific title.

    So it’s probably another lady…. 🙂

    • It was Emma, Judith. I guess my hints were a bit vague. But you guessed all the other ones, so I’m glad you were not sure of this one. 🙂

      • It was too vague for me, but that’s fine. It’s not so interesting to get it right every time.

  2. After some research: The Annotated Emma (at least I hope)
